Students
Current Students
Recreation Services facilities, services, and programs are available to all JSU students (full and part time) during the semester for which they are registered. Current students will be assessed through tuition, gaining access by use of their JSU ID card. Visit the WPC to have your JSU ID activated. Students qualify for this access by paying a required student service fee as part of their tuition. To verify eligibility, all students are required to display a valid JSU ID card upon request or entry to a recreational facility. Additional fees are charged to participate in programs such as intramurals, group exercise classes, adventure recreation trips, clinics, as well as sport clubs.
Continuing Student
Will receive same benefits as a current enrolled student, limited to one term after last enrollment term. Enrollment subject to verification. A Continuing student is any person, not registered with credit hours and paying tuition for a selected term.
Visiting Parents/Siblings of students may access the facility during normal facility hours on any given day of the week at no charge. Student membership must be verified before access is granted. Parents/siblings can not establish a normal user rate. Age restrictions apply.
Student Spouse/Domestic Partner Membership
Current students may sponsor their spouse. Verification of marriage/cohabitation and a spouse's signature are required. To complete the registration, the following forms must be completed or be on file: a Release, Waiver and Indemnity Agreement, Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment form and a Spouse Agreement form.
Student Senior Child (16 to 21 years old)
Memberships are available for the length of students membership at Rec-Services. To complete the registration, the following forms must be completed by a legal guardian or be on file: a Release and Liability Waiver Agreement and an Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment form.

Faculty/Staff
Any current full or part time employee of Jackson State University may purchase a 12 month access membership with a payroll deduction option. Memberships are extended to the F/S family. F/S may purchase a Square Deal membership without obligation to continue.
- Payroll deduction is available for any full time faculty or staff. Payroll deduction is continual until member signs the (30) thirty-day cancellation notice in person after four month minimum has been met.
Faculty/Staff & Family
F/S-Spouse/Domestic Partner Membership
As a benefit to current faculty/staff employees, a spouse/domestic partner may purchase a membership at the F/S annul membership rate with or without the F/S having a membership. Faculty/Staff must be current employee to be eligible. Price discount given when both parties joining. To complete the application process, proof of marriage /cohabitation is required. The Waiver & Liability Release Agreement, Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment and Spouse Agreement forms must be completed.
F/S-Senior Child (ages 16-21) Membership
Memberships for Senior Children are available to purchase for the same duration as the parent's membership. To complete the membership process, the Minor Waiver & Liability Release Agreement and Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment forms must be completed by parent or guardian or be on file.
F/S Retiree
Any retired JSU employee may purchase a membership with verified proof of retirement. If retirement occurs during active 12 month regular F/S membership, new price will begin at start of next pay cycle. Documentation must be provided to Member Services before new price adjustment will be effective.

Alumni
Recent Alumni
Any student recently graduating from JSU, fall 2004 to current date may purchase a discounted rate. This membership option is good for two years from inital signup date.
Recent Alumni-Spouse/Domestic Partner
Recent alumni must be a current member to sponsor spouse/domestic partner and/or dependent 16 years or older as recent alumni family member. This membership option is good for two years from intial signup date. To complete the application process, proof of marriage /cohabitation is required. The Release and Liability Waiver Agreement Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment and Spouse Agreement forms must be completed.
Recent Alumni-Senior Child (16 to 21 years old)
Memberships are available for the length of primary alumni membership at Rec-Services. To complete the registration, the following forms must be completed by a legal guardian or be on file: a Release and Liability Waiver Agreement and an Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment form.
Alumni
Alumni defined as any person having conferred a degree or any one who has completed at least six semester hours from Jackson State University AND who has paid his/her annual alumni association membership dues.
Alumni-Spouse/Domestic Partner
Alumni must have current membership to sponsor their spouse and/or child. Verification of marriage/cohabitation and a spouse's signature are required. To complete the registration, the following forms must be completed or be on file: a Release and Liability Waiver Agreement, Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment form and a Spouse Agreement form.

Sponsored Affiliate
Must be 16years or older to participate. Affiliates are any person with a verified relationship with a current WPC member or any person currently in a contractual agreement with a JSU school/department. Affiliate memberships are offered as a benefit to individuals who are a current enrolled member (faculty/staff/student/alumni). Any current WPC member may sponsor only one (1) affiliate equal to/less than the duration of the primary WPC member’s membership. Both parties must be present at time of application. Completed Release and Liability Waiver Agreement and Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment forms are required, or must be on file before the membership can be processed. Fees are not prorated. A sponsored affiliate does not have the membership privelige of sponsoring a potential member and/or guest.

Square Deal
We understand that finances play a large part of your decision making process, so we’ve come up with the Square Deal. This membership provides 4 (four) months of access without the obligation to continue after term has expired. Available for any JSU constituent to purchase one time only.
Square Deal membership is available ONE TIME/PERSON.
Holiday Deal
To keep you in holiday shape we’ll provide access for December 1-16 TH (last day of exams) at a $30.00 special rate. Please see our holiday hours of operation for access times.
Visiting Student Summer Membership - use your university ID to purchase a three month pass at JSU student rate of $75.00 for entire summer.

Membership Disclaimer
To ensure all patron’s safety and security, affiliate members will be held to the same code of conduct that applies to Jackson State University’s students, faculty/ staff and families. Violations of the conduct code may result in suspension or cancellations of membership privileges. Use of the Walter Payton Center is a privilege not a right, Jackson State University and the Office of Recreation Services reserves the right to withdraw/cancel any membership at its discretion, at anytime, and without prior notice.
